MORTON READY TO SHOW THE COMPETITION "THE
RISING STORM"

Stock category sits Elijah Morton of
team Morton MotorSports heading into
"The ROCK" for the famed "Spring
Nationals". Morton, owner of Morton
Trucking Co. tested at "The ROCK" on
Saturday prior to the event yielding a
one-and-only blast which defiantly let
the other guys know there is a "New
Storm Rising Within"...
Crew chief Gary Henry brought the car
from Tenn. out of Illusions paint shop
to Rockingham Dragway. Morton and crew
met him there to finish assembling the
car.
This new paint scheme, featuring wild
mustangs and bolts of lightening through
a desert scene is certain to be a
"RISING STORM." It's sure to cause some
other Pro Stock drivers to run for
cover. After assembly, Morton decided to
give the fans there a preview of what is
to come this weekend at the Spring
Nationals. Elijah made a single hit and
dipped into the 6.40's, giving everyone
quite a show. Feeling confident after
this single run, Morton loaded up the
horses and took 'em back to the barn to
rest up for this coming weekend's race.
