ELIJAH MORTON CAPTURES DARLINGTON WINTERNATIONALS WIN WITH SOLID STRING OF 6.4's IN ALL NEW "SILVER BULLET" COBRA
DARLINGTON, SC - Elijah Morton of Jacksonville, NC took home the win this past weekend at Darlington International Dragway's 31st annual WinterNationals! This race was set up for Pro Testing on Thursday, Friday & Saturday followed by eliminations on Sunday. Elijah,
owner of Morton Trucking, used the entire weekend to test out the all new Ford Mustang Cobra built by Jerry Haas and powered by Jon Kaase Racing Engines.

As many know by now, Jeff Dobbins has parted ways with Morton MotorSports currently planning on crew chiefing with John Montecalvo for the 2004 season.

The all new "Stang" crew chiefed by Gary Henry laid down some very impressive passes all weekend long. A 6.52 on Friday was just the beginning as on Sunday they threw down three back-to-back 6.4's!

One of the 6.4 sec. runs was actually quicker than the national record but would not stand due to the event not being a sanctioned race.

The team will be testing again this weekend, Feb. 26-28th at Rockingham Dragway's Pro Test Fest.
